Remembering a True Hero

I just wanted everyone who reads this to take a moment and remember our fallen Heroes. I today have had William Daniel Scates on my mind. Daniel was a true Hero in every sense. He was killed in action August 11, 2007. He will always be remembered through his wife Raquel, Jade his oldest daughter, and Kendra his youngest. Rest in Peace Daniel for you will never be forgotten

ARG!!

I thought the beginning of the school year was stressful--no one told me that the end of the year was just as or not if more stressful. Oh my gosh there is just so much to do--and I just don't know where to begin. I'm throwing so much stuff away, and trying to organize my classroom so it will be easy to set up in August. I'm also taking next Friday off--can you believe that a personal day. I haven't taken a personal day ever. It just sucks that I'm taking that day, because my school is having a carnival on that day. That's okay I have a great sub (Thanks Tessa) that will be watching my wonderful kiddos. I'm also getting really sad--I don't want my kiddos to go. As much as I complain about some of them--I have grown to love them. I am truly going to miss my class next year!! Oh by the way---my kiddos kicked major butt on their taks testing. I had one fail writing, one fail reading, and one fail math---but I don't count the math one--this student came from a different school 2 weeks before the test. My principal couldn't be happier with me!!!

Updates!!!

Well, TAKS is over!! Hip Hip Hooray!!! I couldn't be happier about that. I think my kiddos did really well. At least I hope they did. I must say that week was a very stressful week. I can see why some people quit teaching. Good grief.
I just noticed that my ticker was now to days. It just seems like yesterday I was looking at it, and it said something like 7 months left. WOW!! The ticker says 30 days, but actually there are only 20 days of actual school left--Thanks Lisa for bringing that to my attention!!! I'm excited and sad at the sametime. I've really love my class--I don't want to give them up. UGH!! I got a new girl today--yes today. Can you believe that. What the heck is that--20 days of school left--that's just crazy!
