Walking again
On Friday night I was playing around with my cute baby nephew when I slipped on the same step that I slipped on before and fell. Instead of hurting my foot this time I landed on my knee and head. Yes my head. I was trying not to hurt my nephew and I took the brunt of the fall. My head is fine, but knee looks terrible. I felt just terrible that I dropped Matthew, and boy was he mad at me. YIKES!! Armando was rather upset--he says that I need to pay more attention to where and how I walk. Lord knows that I need to pay attention.
Looking
Next weekend I'm going to start looking into buying a new car!!! I'm looking at the new nissan altima coupes. Oh baby I think those are such pretty cars. I feel that the time has come to trade in my old car. Things are starting to break and not work anymore. I do love the car I have now. I got that shortly after my grandad passed away, so I will be sad when the time comes to leave it behind and drive off with another car. I've had my little honda for almost 8 years now, but I know the time is here to say good-bye to Harry Eric Honda. That's my car's name. Does anyone else name their cars?
Finally
Friday was the first day that my fourth graders finally acted like fourth graders. I was truly happy and excited about their behavior. (Of coarse I still have my wonderful student X that makes my life hard)I praised them for acting great! We are still working on our writing and I hope by the time they take their state test they will have become such wonderful writers!--As I cross my fingers!! I think I'm starting to like my job just a little more each day. Tuesday was a hard day for me--I was really emotional about my job. Just stressed that's all. I was telling my teacher friend that I need to put my stress into the lord's hands and he will fix everything! That's what I have been trying to do.
The feel of Fall
This morning was a wonderful morning. Our bedroom was freezing. Armando woke up saying he was cold, and indeed it was. I truly love this time of year. The days get shorter, the sounds of Friday night football games, and crispness of the air. If I could bottle this time of year in a bottle and save it for the summer, you better believe I would. Fall just makes me smile.
