Thank You

I just wanted to say thank you for all who prayed for my friend's mom. She died this past Friday--July 27, 2007. Now she is at rest with NO PAIN--May she rest in peace.

Calling all Prayers

My really good friend Marianne needs some much needed prayers. Her mother is dying of cancer and is probably not going to make to saturday. I'm asking that everyone please take a few moments to pray for her and her mom. Thank you to each and everyone of you that takes that moment!!!

It's been awhile

I feel like it has been ages since I last blogged. I wish I could say that I was real busy and that's the reason why I haven't blogged--but that's so not the case. I've just been lazy.
I finally got my car back from the shop yesterday. It is all fixed and looks ok. Ok, because the new paint that they used doesn't really match the old paint. I'm kinda frustrated about that. Its the same color, but the older paint seems to be faded. While my car was in the shop I had a Jeep Liberty. I LOVED IT!! I didn't want to give it back. It was so much fun to drive. When I dropped that car off yesterday, I almost had a tear in my eye.
I debating on just fixing up my car and keeping it a few more years or getting a new one. I talked about it with Armando and said that maybe I should just tint the window, get a tune up, and paint it. He honestly thought that would be a good idea. If I did that I would be able to save up money and pay off those dreaded student loans.

Decisions, Decisions

My Car is DYING

My poor car is all I can say!!! Armando and I went to go fill up my car tonight and when I got in to start it--IT DIDN'T START!! Thank goodness my wonderful brother lives a few seconds away from the gas station, because he came down and jump started it. I guess it's time for a new battery. I got my car 7 years ago when I was still drinking and living in San Antonio. My parents bought my car soon after my grandfather died (his death was the reason why I got the car). I'm just so sad that it looks and sounds awful now. Part of me still wants to hold onto that car, but deep down inside it's time to just get a new one. Tomorrow I have an appointment to get the dents taken out of it from that stupid lady who ran into me. I just love Eric Harry Honda (my car's name)!!!

Soldiers

My best friend Raquel and her two little girls came over today to take a dip in the pool!! They live in Georgia and are here to visit because her husband is in Iraq. His troop in Iraq got hit last Thursday and one of his soldiers died. Her husband got hit with shrapnel. I believe she said on his left side ( I could be wrong) but he is doing better even though his wounds got infected. Thank God!!! He has 15 more months over there. I'm not sure how Raquel does it without him-- I just wish and pray for him to hurry up and come home. I pray for Daniel every night!!

Talking and Driving

As soon as I said I would like to trade my car in for a new one--some lady hits it. I had just dropped off Armando at work and was leaving the mall parking lot when this lady turned into my lane. Silly me, I thought she would pull over and we could exchange information. Boy was I wrong--the crazy lady kept going!!! I followed her down to donaphin and racetrack and had enough and started beeping my horn. Finally, after I got right beside her she pulled over. She got out of her car and said that she didn't know that she had hit me because she had been talking on her cell phone. EXCUSE ME YOU DIDN'T REALIZE YOU HIT ME- was my response. Yes, I have been known to talk on my cell phone and drive at the same time, but I think I would know if I hit somebody or not. The cops really didn't do anything (imagine that) they just gave me her information and told me to go to the police station and file the report!! GRRRR!!! Tomorrow I'm heading over to Rudolph Honda to get an estimate so her insurance company can fix it. My blood is still boiling over this!! My poor car!!!

Happy Fourth of July

What a lazy fourth of July this has been. Armando and I have laid around all day long watching TV. I've napped and watched TV in the living room, and Armando has laid in the bedroom. We have gotten multiple offers to do stuff tonight, but I don't think we are going to do anything. I think he really wants to hang out with his friend on the east side and shoot fireworks--I don't want to drive that far. I want to hang out with my nephews at the baseball game--he doesn't want to go to a baseball game. So, I guess we will just sit on our balcony and watch the stinkin fireworks from there--just like we did last year. BORING!!! Happy fourth of July to all--I certainly hope that you have fun and are safe.

It' s just plain HOT

I honestly can't believe that summer has just only begun!! I am already tired of this gross hot heat!! Yesterday it was 101 YUCK!! I'm sure that today was about the same. Tomorrow I think it said it is going to be 104. I'm ready for some relief!!! I think that I'm ready for fall to hurry up and get here!! I wanted to take a walk tonight, but when I went outside with my shoes on ready to go--I stopped and stood on the steps and changed my mind--It was still just to warm--hello it's 7:30 and it's still hot!! Okay enough with the complaining about the heat!!

Eating

Here I sit on a Sunday evening feeling so guilty for how much I ate today. Armando and I started the day off ordering pizza--YUMMY!! Of course I had to eat 2 huge slices. After I ate I went and laid down for a few hours. Around 5 or so we went to the store to cash in our change that we have collected over the course of a year, and we bought stuff for dinner tonight. We had some pork tacos that Armando had made. Man were they good. Then we decided that we needed dessert. (I can never refuse dessert) So, Armando and I went to sonic and got butterfinger sonic blast's. I ate the whole darn thing. Now I sit on this couch thinking about all that food. Man I need to start watching what I'm eating. Since summer vacation has started I have gain 7 lbs. What the heck is wrong with me??? UGH I'm just disgusted with myself!!
