The big day is coming

Oh man just a week left until the dreaded big, ugly, hairy taks test!! We gave a mock Taks test on Friday of last week, and we graded the writing today after school. Well, my kiddos did okay. They didn't do as good as they could have. I had 2 kiddos get 3's, 12 kiddos get 2's, and 1 kiddo get a 1. I just need to sprinkle fairy dust on those 2's to get them to 3's. All I can say is that my class wasn't the worst one. I know deep down in my heart they will just do just fine.

I miss you

I miss my Armando!!! As I talked about a few blogs back, 2900 has opened. This opening has resulted in Armando working a lot. When I get up in the morning my sweety is asleep, and when I go to bed he's at work. We are like to ships passing in the sea. I don't see him anymore. I'm sad that he is working so much, but I do realize that this is what he loves to do.

Oh Calgoon take me away

I love my job. I love my job. I love my job--just not today!!! Oh man alive my kiddos are making me tired. I'm tired of repeating myself. I think maybe I'm just a ball full of stress, because of the upcoming taks test!! I'm making myself sick I think. I didn't go to work on Monday, because I thought I was going to faint in the shower. I actually had to lay down in the shower. I felt horrible. UGH!! It was all because I hadn't really eaten the day before. (I'm hypoglycemic) DUH hello I need to eat. Everyone that knows me, knows I love to eat. I haven't had an appetite. I think the only thing that really is keeping going is that we only 68 more instructional days left!! Thank goodness!!! This first year is almost over---part of me is sad-- and part of me is happy. I just need to relax and take a bath!!

YAY for Armando

I'm so excited for Armando!! The restuarant is finally open!! My wonderful and sometimes cranky boyfriend is a sous chef at a new restaurant that just opened here in town. The food is great!! I went with my parents and my best friend last week for a soft opening. We had so much to eat. If we had paid for the full meal, it would have been close to $300. Oh my lanta!! We had 4 apps, 4 entree's, 4 desserts, 4 coffees, and 3 glasses of wine. It was the best food that I have ever eaten, and I'm not just saying that because Armando is the sous chef--it was really good!!!

Wow

I just noticed that my ticker says that I have a little more than 3 months left of school!!! YAY!!! I can't believe how fast this year seems to be flying by!! However, in the next 3 months I need my kiddos to take that silly taks test and I also still need to get observed--BARF!!! I think I have more of a barfy feeling for the taks test than I do getting observed. My principal comes into my room all the darn time!! I'm so used to having people in my room. The math coach sat in the other day--she likes how I do Calendar Math and she wanted to watch me again--A para and an aims kiddo sit in twice a day, and the special ed coach sits in too. So you could say----Bring it on Mr. Principal I'm ready and waiting. For those of you who know me--when that day does come for him to observe me I'm going to be so flappin nervous. I just can't wait to get this year over and under my belt. Hopefully next year I will be a little bit more organized when it comes to my classroom. Hurry up 3 months I am also ready for summer break!!!
