That's The Way the Cookie Crumbles

I just found out that one of my coworkers isn't coming back to school next year. She and I worked so well together. Whenever I needed something she was there. If I just needed to shed a tear, she was there. I'm really torn up about this. However, I do understand that family does come first. Her dad is elderly and needs her to be close. So, she is packing up her belongings and heading up to New York. She made my first year of teaching so wonderful. I don't know what I would have done without her last year, and what am I going to do without her this year. I'm just so upset about this. But I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles.......
