So Odd
Today was parent/teacher conference!! UGH!! I just don't understand why some parents are just so odd. I have this one parent who is just plain weird. Her daughter, student X, over the course of the year has missed 20 days of school. Um...hello--that's a whole month of school!! Well anyways, this mother wonders why her daughter isn't doing very well. I told her straight up that the reason why student x isn't doing very well is because of the fact that she's missed a month of instruction that she will never get. Then the mother told me that at the end of May she will be taking student x out for a couple of weeks to take her to Florida for her nieces wedding. I told the mother that student x has a good chance of failing this year. This poor little girl can't even do simple multiplication problems--It just eats me up. Then the mother asks how can I catch her up to where she needs to be. Honestly, I was just floored when she asked me that. "BRING YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL," is what I wanted to yell at this mother. Okay this mother has lots of problems aswell. There is always something wrong with this mother. She is always in and out of the emergency room. I guess there is always one in the bunch!!!

Its the same mom that says she isn't going to punish herself by turning off the tv so her child can do her homework in peace and quiet. Also, the same woman who can't figure out why the school is getting on to her about the days the kids were tardy. She says its not my fault... lol. No responsibility whatsoever. Gotta love parents like that. My dogs are on more of a schedule than her kids are. Sad. Very sad.
