Well, I survived my first parent-teacher conferences yesterday!! 14 of my 15 parents showed up. I really enjoyed meeting or seeing again my kiddos parents'last night. I was or am a little afraid of one parent. She was very straight forward. Yikes-She's going to come up to the school every friday to clean her son's desk--What? okay whatever I thought!
Today was a horrible day!! The morning started off just fine! About 2 minutes before I took them to lunch, I started to get signs of a migraine. Oh crap I thought what the $#%@ am I going to do! I quickly grabbed my Excedrin and took 2. I quickly took my kiddos to lunch and I saw one of my co-workers,grabbed her,and said I think I'm getting a migraine. She looked at me and said she could tell in my eyes. (She gets them too) I didn't know what to do--I fixed my lunch and was going to eat it--but my friends were telling me to just go--my assistant principal told me to leave--so I did. The secretary called in my absences and I signed a form--I know I didn't sign it well, because I couldn't see the paper. My fourth grade team split my kiddos up and that was that. I feel really lucky to be working at a school that is so understanding, and willing to help.
